Spring (March to May): Breeding season with vibrant Himalayan species.
Autumn–Winter (Oct to Feb): Amazing Winter migratory birds are seen during this time. Great light and active bird movement.
Monsoon (June to August): Not ideal due to rain and leeches on trails.

Sattal sits at a comfortable altitude of around 1,370 metres (4,500 ft).
There’s no risk of altitude sickness, and most visitors feel refreshed in the crisp mountain air.
Winters (Nov–Feb): Cold mornings and nights with temperatures ranging from 2°C to 12°C. Pack warm woolens, gloves, thermals, and a windproof jacket.
Spring/Summer (Mar–May): Pleasant weather with temperatures between 12°C to 25°C. Carry a light jacket, full-sleeve shirts, and a cap for early mornings.
